Is this an artefact of my setup?

where are you running wine from ? top of the CVS tree ? there are a couple of bugs related to this all source finding in current winedbg: - you cannot setup a dir where to lookup for file (nor does winedbg try some nice spots) - you should be able to enter the name of the directory to lookup, but some internal flags are not set up at the right time
