This is 80070005, E_ACCESSDENIED.
Perhaps it tries to access a registry key? Or
file?
A +relay,+reg trace might help.
Nothing intersting in the log...
It tries to open those registry keys but fails.
Perhaps the dll was not registered correctly?
try: regsvr32 msxml.dll
Ciao, Marcus
0009:Call advapi32.RegOpenKeyA(80000000,77c27a48
"CLSID\{7B8A2D94-0AC9-11D1-896C-00C04FB6BFC4}",77a7d46c)

trace:reg:NtOpenKey <- (nil) 0009:Ret advapi32.RegOpenKeyA() retval=00000002 ret=65f3630a
...
When I do that I get an error message 'RenderMonkey is unable to initilise msxml'
I'm going to have a look for some inotify tools and see what wine/linux is doing compared to what ntfilenom says should be happening.
