Also, Wine is not on SLED/SLES, just on openSUSE, which is not protected by the patent covenant. And it is explicitly left out.

On the other hand, it's quite possible that Parallels would enter into some sort of patent thingy with Microsoft, and they DO distribute Wine.

But it's only wined3d right? And that's based on OpenGL. Why they would even consider a patent convent would boggle me.
Of course, the threat for unenumerated patents is enough for some.
