rpm -e, the equivalent under Debian, make uninstall (from original source tree), etc. are all different ways to install Wine.
Well, it shouldn't be too hard to detect that or at least offer manual choice.
Wait a sec ... this would mean I probably could do it myself, OMG! ;-)
Will changes to wineinstall be accepted at this point of time?

P.S.: apt-get [--purge] remove on debian.
