Thanks for the reminder Tim. I should have given my system details. Here
we go:

System: Pentium 4 3.0 GHz
Sound card: Motherboard - RealTek ALC655 rev 0 chipset
Distribution: Gentoo 2005.0
Alsa version: 1.0.8
Wine version: CVS
