Hello Dan,

log into your Adobe account, copy
http://trials.adobe.com/pub/esd/trial/pse5/PSE_5.0_WIN_TRYBUY_ENG.exe
into your address and hit enter.

If you want a copy I would get it now before they pull it.
I just tested the download and its currently working, not sure how long tho.

Any reason why you're not using the AppDB?  This is exactly what it is for, 
and a quick search for 'Photoshop Elements' gave me a 5.0 entry with a trial 
link . . .

The only reason I have that wiki page is as a rallying point for
the folks working to get Photoshop running on Wine.
And the appdb isn't very good at
formatting  (the HTML editing widget is slow and klunky, and only
controls a small active area).
Finally, I've been asking for appdb maintainer status for photoshop
for months now, and haven't gotten it.
So the appdb wasn't even an option, and fighting to get it didn't seem
worth it.

Yeah, but it's out of date, it gives you PSE 6.

Is anyone processing these applications?  I've made a few and haven't
heard any updates for months either.

I know that maintainer requests have gone through and are working but apparently 
there has to be something wrong with this, since you are not the only one who 
has had problems. Vitamin also had a problem trying to become a maintainer.

The problem seems to be not with the queue but with accepting the 
maintainers. Last night I tried to submit the request to be a super 
maintainer of this 
app:http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=5936

And the request appeared in the queue. And was accepted. But I'm still not a 
maintainer of the app.

It appears most entries get flagged as duplicates and are deleted when 
processed by an admin.

No. Let me rephrase what vitamin already said: I accepted a
request he made but the only effect was that it was removed from
the queue. (Although I didn't check that, I suspect that neither
a reject nor accept mail was generated.)

But I _accepted_ his request. Do we agree that this is a bug?

And I would say that also rejection of a maintainer request
should generate a mail to the requester.

A rejection does trigger a mail; the code thought it was a duplicate, in which 
case a mail would not be appropriate.
