Hi Everybody,
I just recently download wine and installed it on my RedHat 9(which also recently upgraded from 8).
I think I did everything right. But, when I try to install something or even just run wine. It gives me the following error. I checked all the configurations and they seem to be right. So, I don't know what's going on with it.....
wine: lstat /root/.wine/wineserver-wingzero/socket : No such file or directory
Any suggestion????
Does the directory /root/.wine exist? (You're running wine as root I gather?) I had to create a ~/.wine directory for wine to work for me.

Recompile wine using the flag --with-nptl. like this : ./configure --with-nptl make make depend
Avoid to use wine or some program as root if isnt needed.
wine: lstat /root/.wine/wineserver-wingzero/socket : No such file or directory
Any suggestion????
