Status of clippy

What's the status of clippy?

I picked up today's cvs and when clippy comes up, it still hangs office
applications. Has there been any progress on this?

I know you can use runonce and remove clippy from the registry, but I'm
wondering if anyone has gotten any closer to actually making it work.
