Hi,
I've been asked by the gallium nine devs and a developer of one of the proprietary drivers if any one of us will be at FOSDEM in a month. Since we won't have a full-blown Wine room I'm wondering if the Wine Party Fund has enough resources to send myself (and/or Henri and Matteo if they're interested) to FOSDEM.
My main agenda is to sit in the Xorg room for smalltalk. If there's interest on part of the Xorg developers I can give an updated performance talk like the last two years. If anyone is planning a Wine table I can help out with it, or talk to other upstream projects if anyone else here has any errands to take care of.
Cheers, Stefan

Not particularly. Primarily because FOSDEM has a tendency to schedule their conference around the same time I'd like to go skiing, but of course also for much of the same reasons that there won't be a Wine room this time.

Hmm. We don't really have a procedure for this, do we? We asked Roseanne to coordinate finding events for people to talk at, as far as I recall. I'm not sure what the plan was if people came with an idea, like this.
This will all need a 'blessing' from the Wine fiscal committee, but it certainly seems to line up with our stated goals.
Then the question becomes if anyone else (even non devs, maybe especially non devs) would be interesting in running a Wine table, or if we're just thinking of sending Stefan.
How about if we appoint Stefan in charge of coordinating this?
Stefan, when you have a more clear idea of who/what/when/how much, how about if you drop a private line to me, Michael, Marcus, Austin, and Alexandre for us to decide on the funding.
Cheers,
Jeremy

I've created a wiki page listing conferences for 2015, http://wiki.winehq.org/Conferences2015, though many of the dates are still TBA.
One coming up soon is SCALE 13x in Los Angeles, Feb. 19-22. It's too late to submit papers, but their website says that "Non-Profit/Dot-Org exhibitor opportunities are available," so getting a table might still be possible.
Conferences with RFP deadlines coming up soon: Hong Kong Open Source Conference 2015: Hong Kong, June 26-27; RFP deadline Jan. 11, 2015 LinuxFest Northwest 2015: Bellingham WA, April 25-26; RFP deadline Jan. 30, 2015

I don't quite understand what you mean with "who/what/when/how much".
I guess the "when" is clear - FOSDEM is on January 31st and February 1st.
With "who", do you mean who will go, or who I plan to talk to on FOSDEM. If it's the former I guess mails sent to wine-devel or to me stating interest (or lack thereof) should answer this. I can try to actively ask some people, but I expect that those who are interested are reading the list anyway.
