I'm afraid this (from Makefile.in) can't quite work:
mingwrap: mingwrap.o
        $(CC) $(CFLAGS) -DINCLUDEDIR="$(includedir)" -o mingwrap mingwrap.o

You're passing the -D to an already compiled file...
