Hi all,
The Wine Project is happy to announce that WineConf 2018 will take place on June 29 - July 1 2018 in The Hague, The Netherlands. As some of you will undoubtedly be aware, this will coincide with the 25th anniversary of Wine.
WineConf is the Wine Project's yearly conference, where members of the Wine community, the broader Free Software community and interested users meet up over food and drinks. We traditionally also have a number of talks by attendees, as well as some formal and informal discussions about anything vaguely Wine related.
We're still working out some of the details, but since this years' WineConf will take place slightly earlier in the year than has traditionally been the case, we'd like to give everyone sufficient advance notice to make travel arrangements, in particular those of you that would need Visas to travel to The Hague.
Subscribe to wineconf@winehq.org to stay up-to-date with further developments. Information will also get added to https://wiki.winehq.org/WineConf2018 as it becomes available. Should you have any questions, feel free to send an e-mail to either wineconf@winehq.org or me personally, and we'll do our best to come up with an answer.

I've updated https://wiki.winehq.org/WineConf2018 with information on the venue and how to register.
Looking forward to meeting everyone at WineConf 2018,
Henri
Hi all,
It has come to my attention that some attendees haven't made their reservation at the hotel yet. Should you find yourself among the few people to which this applies, please be aware that while you still have a couple of weeks until the deadline, the pool of rooms we have at the hotel is limited, and this year we appear to be in the fortunate situation that we'll have a slightly higher number of attendees than in previous years.
Thanks,
Henri
Henri,
Can you clarify - are CodeWeavers staff expected to contact the hotel to make our own reservation, or simply let you know the dates of our stay?

The reservations for CodeWeavers staff have been made, I'd expect us to get the confirmations in the next week or so. I.e., there's nothing more you should have to do for this. Travel to the hotel however is your own responsibility.

Since the registration deadline is tomorrow, I figured it was time for a small update. We currently have received 56 registrations, for a total of 64 people. That's slightly up from previous years.
If you haven't signed up yet, and after the May 1 deadline decide you would still like to join us, you're still welcome. However, you'd be responsible for arranging your own accommodation. If you happen to be in the area, and only want to join in the social parts of the conference, like the Friday afternoon programme or the Saturday evening barbecue, that's fine too, just let us know.
We still have a fair number of free slots for talks. If you happen to know someone who's a good speaker, willing to give a talk on a subject of interest to the Wine community, or perhaps have a good idea for something with a slightly different format than a traditional talk, please let me know, and we'll do our best to convince Aric and Jeremy to allow it. :D
If you happen to have decent quality video equipment, and would be willing to use that to record the conference, please contact me. I know François has offered to bring his 360-degree camera, and would be happy with anything we can get, but would be most comfortable with a traditional video camera or perhaps a DSLR/ILC without recording limit. I'm currently trying to work something out for the audio equipment.
If you'd like to join us for any part of the Friday afternoon programme [1], but haven't signed up yet, don't hesitate. A number of you have already contacted me, but there is also still room for a fair number of people.
Henri
