Hi,
We can still consider a FOSDEM participation in scope of a Talk/Lecture.
We could fit to the Retrocomputing DevRoom with a winky smiley:
- Emulation of old systems to run videogames, legacy software, etc - Open source software emulation/simulation - Open hardware - Operating systems/executives for retrocomputers/retrosystems - Uses of retrocomputing today - Other retrosystems topics - Opportunities in retrocomputing
https://fosdem.org/2018/schedule/track/retrocomputing/ https://lists.fosdem.org/pipermail/fosdem/2017-October/002623.html
Cfp runs until Nov 25.
Ciao, Marcus

I'm interested in this and have a bunch of old games that I'm running in Wine that are no longer functional on Windows :-)
Though it would be nice to do a bit more than just show off my childhood games.

I already mentioned this in passing during WineConf, but if someone were to give a talk, Brussels is close enough that I'd be happy to come watch. I imagine I wouldn't be the only one.

It was probably not clear, but "Wine" could fit into this devroom in general, not just in the scope of old games.
We are not "retro" computing, but we are software emulation with a lots of tricks. ;)
