This is about the size of a file. It makes no sense to express it in a 
unit with an unspecified number of bits! Besides in French all file, 
drive and media sizes are measured in 'kilooctet', 'mégaoctet', and 
so on, not in their equivalent in 'bytes'.

Now you could argue that the English string is wrong and technically you 
would probably be right. However I have never seen anyone measure data 
sizes in 'octets'. Besides Wikipedia itself says:

Indeed, I'll send a fix tomorrow (with luck we will have come to a

I'm not sure people will understand it that way. We should probably 
change entirely and go for something like 'répertoire racine', 'rép. 
racine' or 'dossier racine'.

Yeah. Guess we use different denominations in my country.
Although if I were nitpicking I would use mebioctets or similar ;)

Yes, there shouldn't be a mix of languages. Maybe the original string
should be modified if it isn't clear enough.

2¢: IMHO, we should use whatever unit is used by Windows native -
assuming they translate it right, of course.
