You should put the fix directly in the pGetObject[AW] functions, instead of adding new functions that don't correspond to anything in the Windows API. Even though this is an internal interface it should be kept as similar as possible to the exported interface.

I'm not going to have time to do this for a while. I think the changes would be relatively simple, but Im leaving town for three weeks tomorrow afternoon so until then I won't be able to look at this.
Someone else want to adjust the patch appropriately to satisfy Alexandre's request?
