This is an updated patch for the Italian translation of Wine.

Please bear with me, but:

I still think you should remove those "#| msgid" lines when removing the fuzzy tags. If the program you're using to update the .po file doesn't help you with that, you might have to do it by hand by opening the .po file in a plain text editor.

I don't like those changes, they seem mostly gratuitous to me (there are others similar instances below). If you're changing the "email" translation, make sure to be consistent. In general I'd avoid adding more stuff to this patch on each iteration, first get this patch in and then you can work on another one with more string translations.

This means "Connessioni resettate". You can use "chiuse" instead, or probably even "annullate" as you wrote in another message translation.

I prefer the previous translation.

Yes, you need to remove those. I think other translation patches were rejected in the past for leaving the old msgid.

Since we don't really have language teams, please leave that line like it was.

If I'm wrong on this, someone please correct me, but I think you should not add lines like these. None of the other po-files (that I checked ;) ) contain that.
Thanks for your contribution!

the Plural-Forms is used by other po files. It is needed for some languages as those have more than one plural form. So the translation tools will add that field. Having it in Wine too avoids the "add remove" noise in the commits even though the plural forms get probably lost in the conversion to resource files.

thanks for your answer. Indeed, grep shows that some po files do contain "Plural-Forms". However, I don't understand what good that information does (Wine can't use it, can it? Do the tools use it to automatically translate some strings?) and why there would be noise in the commits if it is never added to Wine's codebase in the first place.
If you can't get the translation tools to not add these lines you could remove them from the patches manually.
If you think having that information is useful, forget I said anything! :)
Cheers, Julian

That's extra work. Something that the translators won't think off. And not good enough to reject an otherwise fine translation patch.
If you can't get the translation tools to not add these lines you could
Translators normally translate for multiple projects and that information they need there.
remove them from the patches manually.
Extra work, easily forgotten. And the one PO header line isn't doing any harm either.
