I tested it on an original Win95, not on OSR2.
I have no idea if OSR2 or 98 or Me behave differently, but I doubt it, else there would be a huge number of complaints in past Usenet postings archived on Google.
IMO to fix the problem it's sufficient to change GetVersion16 along the lines of : if version = 0400 and winversion=win95 then version = 3.95
