winelib on sparc?

I would like to do some winelib programming on a sparc
and I'm struggling with a few concepts.

winelib and wine are the same sources?  When you build
and run the tests in wine, are the tests really winelib apps?

Has anyone really done this?  The docs just say "uncharted
territory" and don't go any further.  I added code for my
architecture and compile the wine source but get assembler
errors on the spec files.

Any help would be welcomed.
