Did we decide if we wanted to do this? I can't remember. A.D.D. you know.

Changelog: Remove third party downloads section from our download page
Have we seen any response by the winetools guys as far as new revs and support in #winehq? Vitaly would be a good person to ask about this I think.

No I have not seen anyone on #winehq who wanted to support winetools on the channel. But I've seen yet more people who installed winetools and most of the "system" software just so they could run Steam (which requires only Mozilla ActiveX controls. But they were sure they needed to install all because that's what they understood as "system" software.
Also Tom told me that he tried to contact winetools author and have not received response from him in almost a month.

I see Joachim sent a reply to the list, I suppose we should keep the link and see if we can find neutral ground.

Along similar lines, do we want to add a link for MacOS X going to the Darwine page? It appears they're tracking our releases, at least for PPC. It might clear up some of the questions coming to wine-devel about whether Wine will be supported.

There is a pointer to Darwine in the FAQ, but folks would be more likely to find it on the download page. But I don't know whether that is really a good idea since Darwine is primarily a developer forum. Before too long there will be a Wine for Intel/Mac OS X/X11 release and I expect that would be supported in the same fashion as other platforms on winehq (the key factor probably being that a maintainer needs to volunteer). Darwine would still be the place to go for developmental things like PPC and Quartz.
