Historical reasons. I'm switching this thread to wine-devel as TransGaming
do in fact make the virtual C drive visible by default and it's maybe
something we should do too. On the other hand, it might just be
wallpapering over other usability problems (lack of menu integration, most
obviously). How often does average jack need to go poking around
C:\Program Files in real Windows?
