OK, I've been using OOo2.0.1 and Firefox 1.5 running under wine cvs for about two weeks. Firefox is quite usable; I read gmail in it routinely. There's just one ugly little rendering problem: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4441 And the stars on each message in the list look funny, but they're recognizable. Worst thing is, when you try to copy from Firefox to another app, the clipboard is bare: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4523 But overall it's not bad.
OpenOffice is less happy. It locks up quickly in the File / Open dialog box: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4525
So... at this point, Wine+firefox pass the dogfood challenge for people who just need to do basic web browsing, but needs some work for people who need word processing. - Dan

OK, filed two more bugs. Here's my current list of firefox dogfood bugs:

Can you please attach screenshots of these problems?
Thanks, n0dalus.

No need, I think. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4441 is a dup of a bug with a screenshot.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4523 - copy broken - is nonvisual.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4528 - too tall - pretty obvious
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4529 - screwy stars - also pretty obvious test case, http://kegel.com/wine/gmailstar.html
Do you really still need screen shots? - Dan

I guess not, but I attached one to bug 4529 anyway.
Since image rendering is one of the parts of wine's code I am familiar with, I was planning to have a look.

Your screen shot is good, it duplicates what I see.

Cool, thanks! - Dan

At first glance, Mike's patch for 4529 also fixes bugs 3171, 4441, and 4442! Firefox just got a lot tastier. (The patch isn't in cvs yet, but I think it ought to be, based on my extensive ten minutes of testing :-) - Dan
