Warcraft III no go. (probs with 1.03 ?)

OK, it seems everyone but me is able to play War3 under linux.

Current status is i have the 1.03 NoCD patch:

³ Packaged By: gimpsRus             ³ Released On: 10 October 2002         ³

I'm using the 'dataparty' RPMs build "wine-cvs-opengl-102802-1"

OpenGL is working and i can still load the warez beta version of war3 
that i used to play.

Now that i have actually bought the damn thing i can't play :(

Here is the error i get:

Has anybody had success with the 1.03 patch?  Does anyone know where i 
can get an older NoCD crack that is known to be working under linux?

Set up winedbg and post a backtrace. Also enable the relay traces and post
the last 100 lines _before the exception_. Put this in a bugreport on
bugs.winehq.com and we'll enjoy :)

hmm ... i had 1.00 and 1.01 working fine, but then i updraded to 1.03 ...
but it dies differently for me (AFAICS) ...

it seems the cracked executable is missing some exported funtions that
warcraft 3 1.03's game.dll requires ....

i've tried this under windoze too, and it crashes for me immediately
(with a dialog saying game.dll is linked to missing exports from war3.exe)

under wine, it prints out:

but it starts running.  too bad it tries calling those exports when you
want to start playing, and crashes with an access violation ...
