It seems that another distro, SuSE 11.x, has Wine-64 compiled by default for x86_64 platforms. That explains all the issues people been having on SuSE lately.
Marcus, could you please create a separate package wine-64 instead and build 32-bit Wine by default for x86_64 arch instead?
Vitaliy.

No, we do not build it by default as 64bit, if so it is a mistake.
I am still waiting for the merged wine/wine32 stuff ;)
Ciao, Marcus

Just second guessing where you or the user got this ... he used the development Emulators:Wine repo with the openSUSE_Factory development distro.
I have disabled the build there.

Not sure if it is factory or not: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Emulators:/Wine/openSUSE_11.0/
I have disabled the build there.
Is there another place to get latest builds from?
Vitaliy.

While there is a x86-64 subdirectory, there are only -32bit packages in it.
If people install "wine" or "wine-snapshot" it will take the correct one.
