The developer's list was talking about this a couple of weeks back. Somebody was going to take over and continue the newsletter, but nothing yet.

I would love for someone to take it over, but I'm not sure that'll happen.
Life is calming down a bit to the point where I could probably write it again if I had Internet access at home. But I don't and getting it isn't that high of a priority for me. So maybe sometime there will be a resurrection of it, but for now I think it's on hiatus.

I said this before (in IRC, I guess), but I think that WWN could be done with a load balancing scheme. Round robin seems to be fine for that. So, let's say we get 4 people to do it, then it's one issue per month and person. That would be doable.
Any takers? Kai

I've not been able to actively contribute much over the past year and due to time and work constraints and could not do it every week but I think I could commit to once a month. I am happy to give it a shot the first week in February as I was going to take a few days off work then and would like to contribute something else back to winehq.

If it's one per month, I'd like to help out.
The problem is there's about 6 months of catching up to do :-).

I'm not sure we really need to do this. It was my impression that on Wineconf 2006, most people would prefer to have WWN again just picking up where we're now, oppoesed to a possible "what happened since the last WWN" issue that took another year to happen.
So, with Steven and you, we're three people. Edward, are you still intersted?
Cheers, Kai
I came to the conclusion that trying to do a back issue is just to hard. I have most of last weeks written...Unfortunately people have been nice enough to implement directx reasonably well so I've been playing EVE Online solidly like a good addict for over two weeks now... I will see if I can get last weeks, which may be a mix of last week and this week, to Brian today/tonight for help with formatting.

Nice. Never mind about the back issues.

Great. If you want to take a break after that to.. er... do some DirectX regression testing in EVE Online, just say the word, and we'll look into gettin that round-robin stuff set up.
Cheers, Kai
