Hi all,
It would appear the toolbar.c has been broken at revision 1.108 as version 1.107 works.
This patch causes toolbar flyouts to disappear unless the mouse is held down and moved over them, rather than as before where they don't disappear until clicked.
I'll try and see if I can narrow the problem down in the supplied patch, unless anyone already knows the problem?

I would have to ask if that is the correct behavior. I have tested Acroread 4, which has flying toolbars, under both WinNT and wine. And in both cases, the flying toolbar disappears if you don't hold the mouse button down.

Yes, this is the behaviour under all MS Windows versions for our application Signlab, the flying toolbars do NOT disappear.
If Acroread behaves differently it is possible that it is relying on something else to make the flyouts disappear.

Ok, I downloaded Signlab and do see the behavior (once I figured out how to get it to run under wine :-). If you figure it out first, by all means let me know! Otherwise, I will probably take a look at it this weekend.
I don't think I'll get round to it before Monday, but if you have any questions please let me know as I have access to the source for Signlab of course :)
Thanks, Dave Hawkes

Sorry about answering this twice :-) I discovered that Word 2000 has sticky flying toolbars. But they also stick under wine. So just out of curiosity, what app is this that you are using? Maybe they have a downloadable version that I could try out.
