What I didn't notice is that it's causing an issue with message boxes.
Start wordpad, type a few characters, File->Exit. This should pop up the 'do you want to save?' message box, instead I see a white rectangle about the same size as the message box, without any frame. If you click where the 'no' button should be it does seem to respond and exit.

Hmm. This doesn't happen for me here (running 10.10). The dialogs draw just fine.
I'll see if I can find a 10.7 system with which to test.

I was able to reproduce this on a 10.7 system and found a fix: http://source.winehq.org/patches/data/116462.
