very nice site.
but there is one ( very ) small i would like to see.
i think colors should represent the status of winelibs
mozilla has a yellow color ( but does not run ) once a prog runs ( putty ) it should be green ( or some other color )
this way we can easily see what works and what does not
perhaps we could include a link to the project website as well ?

Folks,
Version 0.1 of the Winelib Applications page is available here: http://www.dssd.ca/wine/Winelib-Apps-0.1.html
The current version is always available at this address http://www.dssd.ca/wine/Winelib-Apps.html
Your comments, and suggestions are highly appreciated.

They do. Maybe I'll add a legend: -- red: TODO -- yellow: IN PROGRESS -- green: DONE
mozilla has a yellow color ( but does not run )
yes, because Dustin said he's working on it
once a prog runs ( putty ) it should be green ( or some other color )
I know, I wanted to turn it green, but I was waiting for my patch to be integrated into Putty.
this way we can easily see what works and what does not
That's the intent! :) Maybe I should add another state: -- blue: PATCH INTEGRATED
perhaps we could include a link to the project website as well ?
I have. The name of the app is clickable, and takes you to the project website... It doesn't work for you?
About Dev-C++ I doubt we will be able to build this as a winelib app as it is not written in C or C++.
Thanks Steven

Ironic that, isn't it? Nonetheless, it should be possible as the VCL is, well, not open source, but the source comes with Delphi and there are free pascal compilers.
It does beg the question of why bother though considering that Delphi apps can be ported to Linux using Kylix relatively easily. I wouldn't bother all that much with Dev-C++ really.

Indeed. I've marked it as undoable.
Update on Mozilla: Not to go into the app page though..
Im waiting on my DSL to be activated so I can actually download the mozilla source to compile... It will be activated tomorrow between 8am and 5pm CST and then I will go and attempt to build it per the instructions on the page..

Fine. A better suggestion where to put the link?

nothing to flashy actualy but something like this should do the trick.
worker: Dustin Navea status: just started updated: Nov 14, 2002 homepage: www.mozilla.org
www.mozilla.org might then be a hyperlink to www.mozilla.org

Fine, done. Plus I added the legend, for clarification.
Thanks for the suggestion. Any other changes?

I have been thinkin, I wonder if a WIRCD would be good to compile as a Winelib app? Since the native Linux ones dont come with a GUI... Only problem with WIRCD's is that they are prone to crashes, but that was the last I heard a couple of years ago when most everyone was still using Win98. Comments appreciated.
in general i think your site is a very clean and professional one.
i did found one thing a little odd.
( in the changelog section )
// Entries modified from last release are displayed in bold. // The work-in-progress version of the list is always available "here".
"here" is a hyperlink to http://www.dssd.ca/wine/Winelib-Apps.html and that is the site i am currently watching..
if you ask me it does not make much sense to create a link to your own site.
but he.. that's just me.

this is very common and used by mirrors. if you think an info is outdated on the mirror, you can follow the link to see the updated & official one.

Mirrors is one thing. But more importantly, from time to time I release "versions" of this pages, which are set in stone. They have different URLs, and if you are looking at one of those, you have to have a way to get back to the working version.
