Hi all, since the update yesterday all links in emails received from the bugzilla have the action=edit so it's not no longer possible to directly open the attachements. Examples:
--- Comment #8 from The Source xxx@mail.ru --- Created attachment 46837 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=46837&action=edit Launcher log (local.log)
--- Comment #1 from Bruno Jesus xxx@gmail.com --- Created attachment 46835 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=46835&action=edit standard output
--- Comment #3 from Travis Greenman <xxx@cartman-2000.net
Created attachment 46833 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=46833&action=edit Console output, with gl error and nvidia-smi output.
Regards, Bruno

Apparently it's a Bugzilla feature:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=658547
It could certainly be reverted if people don't like it.

Thanks, if I'm the only one complaining I think I can get used to that.

Well that's rather annoying for sure. The defaut "view mode" show be "view" not "edit" IMHO.
All Gmane sites load slow for maintenance.
There's a new FreeDesktop Bugzilla account created using the Gmail address.
Mozilla Bugzilla account (seotaewong40) has been suspended.

I prefer view mode as well.
Me too.
The comments at the bug explain why edit was chosen over view mode.

Like this one: "I'm also not sure why we changed this rather broadly-used behavior on the request of a single user"
lol

As a generic solution that might be valid for upstream. But if all that is done is to "view" the attachment than the generic "edit" mode is just an additional useless click.
I've used the URL to automatically download and parse the attachement so +1 from my side to go back to the view mode.

I've reverted it.

It sort of does, but personally I pretty much never want to edit attachments, and I don't find the "diff" view all that helpful. So in practice I just always want view mode. Apparently I'm not alone in that.
