Currently the Screenshots link on the WineHQ site points to a page with 9 screenshots and some links, while there are 3992 screenshots in the AppDB. Would anyone object to me changing the link to point to the AppDB instead?

No, feel free to submit a patch. What should also happen is a the random shot on the front page should pull from the appdb as well.

Couldn't we just choose 10 or 12 shots from the AppDB and replace some of the older shots that we currently have in our screenshots queue?

It's probably better to request the screenshots from the appdb, that way they won't go out-of-date and will always be fresh looking to users.
Btw, EA was working on replacing the appdb montage with a generated version. That will also make the images look a bit fresher and let us try out some different styles.
