In summary, I agree with changing "Unsignierte-CMC-Antwort", "Windows-System-Komponenten-Verifizierung", "Dazwischenliegende IP-Sicherheits-IKE", all occurrences of "MSI-Service", "Wine-Video-1-Video-Codec", "Leerlauf-Prozess", "Windows-Registrierungs-Informationen" and "geparset", though sometimes not as you proposed. "Der Dienst %1 startet.\n" should be given these apostrophe quotes in English first I think. The status bar messages "Anwendung beenden. Fragt ob Änderungen zu speichern sind" all need a period at the end in English and German. The missing comma after "Fragt" should be fixed everywhere this type of error occurs. I'll try fixing up some patches.

It's not ambiguous. It depends on whether we want Wine Internet Explorer to look like a proper name in itself. I don't think we do. (Actually, we probably don't want Internet Explorer to be used like a proper name anyway. I'm not sure about trademark implications?) Wine-Internet-Explorer seems best. An Explorer for the Internet that is part of Wine.
The name Internet Explorer may even be (part of) the reason so many people confuse the World-Wide Web with the Internet. Changing it to Wine Web Explorer doesn't seem like a good idea though.

FWIW, according to http://www.korrekturen.de/regelwerk/zeichensetzung2-1d.shtml it's optional by default and "if obvious." None of the rules seem to make it mandatory in this particular case.

FWIW, according to http://www.korrekturen.de/regelwerk/zeichensetzung2-1d.shtml it's optional by default and "if obvious." None of the rules seem to make it mandatory in this particular case.
I don't see why it's optional. Also, § 74 seems to be more appropriate.
