Hi List,
I'm having some trouble translating "text run" (in the current release notes "Better text run support in DirectWrite.")
I would appreciate an explanation and/or suggestions for a German translation. Is it some kind of moving text? An iteration of some sorts over a given text or string(s)?
Thanks and a happy new year to everyone!
Best, Julian

No, nothing moves or iterates. Run means just a range of input text characters that share same properties like font, style, script, locale, bidi level, etc.
It's described in Uniscribe glossary http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd374094(v=vs.85).as....

Thanks Nikolay! That helps a bit. I'll add ("Runs") after my translation to be clear.
Cheers, Julian
PS: Forgot to CC wine-devel... Sorry for the double post!
