Windows apps should treat this information with confidentiality just like Linux apps. What should applications have used if /etc/machine-id wasn't readable? I think it's fine to derive the missing fields from machine-id. -- https://gitlab.winehq.org/wine/wine/-/merge_requests/4108#note_49303
