This isn't the only library to do it this way (I'm guessing this was copy-pasted from OpenCL or something), but the unfortunate thing is that this message will still be printed if --without-vosk is specified.
This unixlib seems confused. You link directly in the makefile, but then load the library dynamically. Is there any reason to do the latter?

It's stitched together of different parts, because I'm highly unfamiliar with Automake. I actually had a simpler patch lying around but that had some other issues.
So yeah, maybe it's worth reworking this, but I'm not really sure how a better approach would look like.

You could compute the `strlen` only once for each in the function.

Isn't vosk using `-` as separators? I have not idea but I think I remember some example you showed.

You probably need to break here, to close the directory iterator. Also the if is missing a space.

You're missing a space here, also wouldn't it be easier to do the WtoA conversion on the PE side? You could also convert it to lowercase there as well with `CharLowerW`.

Yeah, not really familiar with what I'm doing here. I can remove the dynamic loading.

I had the same thought, but didn't do it as `strlen` on `const char *` should be resolved by the compiler.

Actually the comment is just wrong, Windows passes locale names with a dash - .

Ah sure.

Maybe, but doing it yourself makes it obvious and doesn't have much cost. If you think about `-O0` compilation for instance, it's likely that the compiler would not do the optimization in that case and make things even slower.
