Hi folks, I'm gonna try to make it, so I thought I'd echo Mike Hearn and ask if anyone in the area: a) Knows somewhere really cheap to stay for a few nights (like a youth hostel or something) b) Has/knows somebody who has a floor or sofa they wouldn't mind me sleeping on. mapping drives and sql2000 client connectivity

we have an in house accounting program called XAlt. It is dependant on a network share being mapped to the U drive it also needs sql2000 client connectivity tools to be loaded, is there a way of setting this up in wine? I already have the program running in wine but I cant get it to connect to the database for the above mentioned reasons. Any ideas please. -- Chadley Wilson <chadley(a)pinteq.co.za>

Well, the mdk RPMs of mplayer don't support rtsp, and I don't think I'll have time to rebuild before wineconf (Have to help my sister with javascript, se has a uni exam in a few days), and quicktime gets a nice "Connection failed" error after switching transport various times. BTW I have 2 firewalls, one behind the other, filtering everything and anything that's incoming, and I don't really want to change that. Maybe you could provide a trial version of crossover <Whatever version is ok to see the stream here>, or let me know what day/month/year wine was OK, so I can get that version from CVS. Ivan. p.s. Just tried again and quicktime just switches transport for ever until I close it.

So far, these are the immediate concerns: Please confirm with me (and your buddy, if you've been assigned one) that you have received these instructions, so that I won't worry about you. If these instructions are not cool for one reason or other, please let me know immediately so I can tease you for being a crying ninny. HUW (huw(a)codeweavers.com): Chris will pick you up at the airport at 15:10 on Wednesday, door #6. Chris drives a navy blue Subaru legacy (station wagon). Where you go from there is a mystery.... FRANCOIS (francois(a)codeweavers.com): You will arrive at 18:11 on Wednesday, get your things, and meet up with Juan (juan_lang(a)yahoo.com) who lands at 19:00 at the Starbucks that Mike mentioned. Aric (aric(a)codeweavers.com) will pick the both of you up at 7:00. Please forgive me for the brief wait at the airport. Aric drives a white Subaru Hatchback, has long brown hair, is a non-smoker, and likes romantic walks on the beach at sunset. JUAN (juan_lang(a)yahoo.com): You arrive at 19:00, get your things, and meet Francois (francois(a)codeweavers.com), who is arriving from Chicago and will be waiting for you. Aric (aric(a)codeweavers.com) will pick you both up at door #6. Aric drives a white Subaru hatchback. He's a local, and knows his way around the city pretty well. Francois is staying at the Chatsworth in St. Paul, and you at the Youth Hostel in Minneapolis, so I'll leave it to you all to figure out the plans for Wednesday night. Remote access

Hi, Has any progress been done wrt remote access (webcast thread earlier on)? I wouldnt mind having something to test to confirm I can get it going. You also mentioned that IRC would be used to interact, I assume that will be the #wineconf channel? (I've never used IRC so that alone will be an experience!). Jason
