[Bug 1374] Worldcraft/hammer 3D view not visible

by Wine Bugs

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1374 ------- Additional Comments From david_costanzo(a)yahoo.com 2004-08-06 05:04 ------- I got in touch with the guys who wrote Hammer. They are quite nice and are eager to help. They sent me a build of Hammer 3.4 that set the DCX_CLIPSIBLINGS flag. Unfortunately, this did not fix the problem. I hacked wine such that all calls to GetDCEx() assumed the DCX_CLIPSIBLINGS flag. This did not help, either. Then I tried hacking GetDCEx() to always or-in "DCX_CACHE | DCX_CLIPSIBLINGS", which are the flags that Lionel's patch uses, and *that* fixed the problem. At least, it fixed the problem to the extent that Lionel's patch fixed the problem. That is, the stand-alone OpenGL windows now render, but OpenGL does not render when the window is a child of a 4-way splitter. Lionel, do have any ideas why the window in the four-way splitter is blank while stand-alone windows render properly? Can you think of something that the application could do to convince wine to render OpenGL in the splitter window? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee.

[Bug 2272] Soldier of Fortune and Soldier of Fortune II have no sound

by Wine Bugs

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2272 ------- Additional Comments From brettholcomb(a)charter.net 2004-07-06 20:52 ------- Another note. During the Intro movie I should be able to hit space or esc to end it. This doesn't work but when I alt-tab to the xterm window it started in and then ctl-c I see the characters such as esc or space on the terminal window as if they had been typed in. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee.

[Bug 2272] Soldier of Fortune and Soldier of Fortune II have no sound

by Wine Bugs

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2272 ------- Additional Comments From brettholcomb(a)charter.net 2004-07-06 18:06 ------- Running the commnad given produces an empty file called trace. Some things I did notice. 1. If I ALT-TAB to the xterm window I started SOF in I can hear the phrase of music repeated over and over. For example, if John says Good Luck when I ALT-TAB the I hear Good Luck over and over and over until I alt-tab back. 2. My keys such as esc, etc do not work. I can not get to in game menus nor kill any intro movies. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee.

With winealsa driver all you get is pops and clicks. The game was started from a terminal window with wine sof.exe or wine sof2.exe while in the game's home directory. [Bug 2130] Half-Life broken with CVS as of 3/27/2004

by Wine Bugs

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2130 ------- Additional Comments From brettholcomb(a)charter.net 2004-05-06 22:30 ------- Okay, I did some checking. I mv'd my .wine directory and let wine create a new one. I updated my drives, deleted the dosdevices directory and restarted wine and created the registry and dosdevices entry. I found that I have either define a desktop size or set Managed=N with no desktop. I did notice the following: 1. Desktop=1024x764 doesn't seem to work. Wine stays at 800x600. I run xfce 4.05 and it runs at 1024x768. Initially HL comes up with a large window but the menu window is a small console window. Is this due to the game or Wine? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee.

[Bug 2269] New: Bogus "full screen" window appears

by Wine Bugs

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2269 Summary: Bogus "full screen" window appears Product: Wine Version: 20040505 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: wine-gdi AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: jpakkane(a)yahoo.com I was testing a shareware Doom level editor called Wadauthor. It can be downloaded here ftp://3darchives.in-span.net/pub/idgames/utils/level_edit/wauthor.zip. It can be made to behave very strangely: When program is started a very small window titled "Full screen" appears on the desktop. Then nothing happens until a) you click on the window then outside the window or b) virtual terminal is changed. Then the program displays a splash screen, and clicking it starts the program. However if the latter choice is taken, the small "full screen" window reappears after the splash screen and will not go away until the main program is closed. I'll attach a screen capture to clarify. Testing done on Linux kernel 2.6.4, Debian unstable and NVidia Geforce 2 with NVidia binary drivers. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee.
