[Bug 11438] New: Warcraft III crashes after memory leak grows too large

by wine-bugs＠winehq.org

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11438 Summary: Warcraft III crashes after memory leak grows too large Product: Wine Version: 0.9.54. Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: ean5533(a)rit.edu Running Warcraft III for an extended period of time eventually causes the game to crash. There appears to be a memory leak; periodic examination with "top" during a run showed the process growing in size over time: virtual 2.6G -> 3.6G, resident 188M - 1.2G. This happens playing Single Player, LAN, or Battle.net. It happens with both the newest version of Wine (0.9.54) as well as older versions (0.9.45, maybe more). Two systems experiencing this error were both AMD64 X2 processors, 2GB mem, running Ubuntu 7.10 32 bit. One had integrated graphics, the other had an nVidia 7600GT. The last few lines of terminal output after a crash: warn:heap:HEAP_CreateSubHeap Could not allocate 00110000 bytes warn:heap:HEAP_CreateSubHeap Could not allocate 00110000 bytes wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000028 at address 0x7c2dc9d4 (thread 000f), starting debugger... warn:heap:HEAP_CreateSubHeap Could not allocate 00110000 bytes -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 11437] New: M$ Windows Explorer does not run

by wine-bugs＠winehq.org

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11437 Summary: M$ Windows Explorer does not run Product: Wine Version: 0.9.5. Platform: Other OS/Version: other Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: wineserver AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: mslinn(a)mslinn.com My goal is to run TortoiseSVN under Wine, and I had no problems installed it under Wine. However, TortoiseSVN enhances M$ Windows Explorer (C:\windows\explorer.exe) and there doesn't seem to be any way of getting TortoiseSVN to work with winefile. Since winefile doesn't have whatever it is that TortoiseSVN needs, I need to run M$ explorer.exe under Wine. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

by wine-bugs＠winehq.org

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10973 --- Comment #14 from joaopa <jeremielapuree(a)yahoo.fr> 2008-02-01 16:38:17 --- I tried the demo with the patch. It fixed the problem. Since the patch fixes several games, it is correct surely. Will it be sent to wine-patches to be commited? http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7271 James Hawkins <truiken(a)gmail.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution| |INVALID --- Comment #3 from James Hawkins <truiken(a)gmail.com> 2008-02-01 15:25:18 --- Invalid for many reasons. Your wine version is extremely old. You are using ies4linux, which we do not support. Please update to latest wine and remove your wine prefix (rm -rf ~/.wine) before trying again. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 7271] Fedora Core 6 shutdown problem

by wine-bugs＠winehq.org

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7271 amnesia7 <amnesia7(a)yahoo.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |amnesia7(a)yahoo.com --- Comment #2 from amnesia7 <amnesia7(a)yahoo.com> 2008-02-01 15:23:08 --- I'm using Mandriva Spring 2007 on a Sony Vaio laptop that's nearly 6 years old. I'm running Wine 0.9.33. The initial installation of Wine was from IES4Linux and since then I've added Word, Excel & Powerpoint viewers. Whenever I come to shutdown after using one of the above Wine applications I find that it starts shutting down, gets to a black screen with the mouse cursor still active and then hangs. The pc will not continue to shutdown until I move the mouse cursor. This hang only occurs when when a wine application has been used, otherwise it will shutdown without any intervention. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
