[Bug 11432] New: "function atl.dll.AtlCreateTargetDC, aborting" exception when trying to run FlashSpring Server Edition

by wine-bugs＠winehq.org

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11432 Summary: "function atl.dll.AtlCreateTargetDC, aborting" exception when trying to run FlashSpring Server Edition Product: Wine Version: 0.9.54. Platform: PC-x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: itayadler(a)gmail.com Created an attachment (id=10560) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=10560) a txt file containing the error log of flashspringse.exe Hello, I've tried to use FlashSpring Server Edition with the recent version of wine(0.9.54), with no success. The installation of it went smoothly, but afterwards when I tried to use it for converting a ppt file, I received an error about an unimplemented function in atl.dll(the complete error log is attached). The commandline API is running, but when you try to use it for converting ppt files it will throw that exception. This tool requires office to be installed(97-2003), which I have installed, prior to using FlashSpring Server Edition, I thought that I haven't installed it correctly but after several reinstalls it still failed to work. Hopefully you guys might have an idea what can be done to make it work.. Thanks, Itay. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 11427] application stays on top of all other windows, including dialogs

by wine-bugs＠winehq.org

The main window shows in front of even the app's initial dialog. This is a regression. The z-order was right in wine-0.9.48, but is wrong in wine-0.9.49 and later. (Though the app text was not drawn properly until later versions. The app is unusable in 0.9.48, but it's easy to see it doesn't have the z-order problem.) Philipp, if you can build Wine from source, please try doing a git bisect to find the patch between 0.9.48 and 0.9.49 that broke this. Pascal, yes, let's make this bug for the splash screen. Please put the active window z-order problem in a new bug.
