I suppose it's the case with other programs as well, but I couldn't test it. It doesn't pause on Windwoes when one alt-tabs away from it, therefore it shouldn't pause in Wine as well. It doesn't pause when there are multiple windows including DF on the same desktop, even if it doesn't have focus.
