I marked this bug critical cause I think the real big problem isn't that Warcraft III freezes the system - the terrifying thing is the fact that wine is able to crashes my whole system, making me unable to do anything but a hardware reset. It occurs on my ThinkPad R61 with integrated Intel GMA965 X3100 graphic card. It doesn't matter if its 64 or 32-Bit, i tried several Ubuntu and Archlinux versions, with different mesa/X/drivers. It occurs in all wine version i've used so far... maybe on some more often, on some less. It's total random when it happens - but most of the time when I change from X (Gnome) to Warcraft (Alt-Tab or things like that) or the other way round. So I guess the main question is, why is wine able to crashes my system? Why I'm not able to do something other than a hardware reset? But of course, it's a big problem too that Warcraft III freezes. They aren't very important part of the game. In fact the help pages are quite useless, but I submit a bug report, because I think this bug is blocking the Platinum rating for the game. So there is a menu called Apua -> Ohje (in English something like: Help -> Help Contents). When I click it nothing happens. So the help pages can't be used at all. There are AREHELP.HLP and AREHELP.GID files in the game folder. All the help data can be found the in somewhat packed format. This will show up every time I click the help: fixme:ole:OLEPictureImpl_Render Not quite correct implementation of rendering icons... I'm pretty sure that this case belongs to the "seldom" part of the phrase. I've learned from my job (which has nothing to do with programming) to put efforts where they're most needed, and to try to balance the time spent with the results. If I must spend, let's say, 2 days learning MSI internals just to prove an obvious stuff, then, no, thanks. I already spent something like a week to locate the problem, exclude any alternative possibility and build a patch, and that time was, IMHO, worth the effort. As I said on previous post, if somebody with good skill on MSI can write a testcase in 10 minutes, well, I'll be really glad about it.
