So I created a file using the finder named test-finder-á.txt and it shows as test-finder-a??.txt when running ls on that directory. The title in notepad is not right, shows some odd characters. Then when I create a file through wine's notepad called test-wine-á.txt it shows as test-wine-%E1.txt when running ls. The title on the window is shown just fine this time. When running an autocompletion the finder version is displayed correctly but not the wine's version. Then it's clear that I'll get file not found exceptions because of this differences. "This->result->nodesetval->nodeNr" Such code is dangerous. The NULL check of 'This->result' isn't enough because the node set can be NULL too. All occurrences should be replaced by 'safe' libxml2 macros. Unfortunately, although the app works well in wine (gold), browsing _within_ the html help files appears broken. The difficulty can be demonstrated most easily with the free Mozart "Viewer." This is a helper app that allows a user to view Mozart's *.mz files, available at: http://www.mozart.co.uk/programs/mvsetup.exe With the viewer installed, try: Help -> Help Topics -> Ordering Mozart This will expand a list with "Ordering Mozart" as its first topic. Choosing this correctly opens the first topic's help file and renders it with: 1) The banner graphic not displayed 2) The links to different ordering methods highlighted as active, but not active. I.E., clicking on the link: "Ordering Mozart on line via the internet" does not open the local url. The link target for #2 above is present and available as the second topic in the expanded topic list. However, trying to follow the link to it in the first topic fails. Choosing the the second topic itself from the exploded list will open the target page. >From within the help display, links to external url's seems to work well. For example the link to the Mozart home page opens without problems. The problems appear limited to referencing links with targets in the help file itself.
