No keyboard commands work. You can use the mouse to do all normal activities, and even type into the chat bar, however the normally "hotkeyed" keys will not respond. My wife plays this often, and problems in it are a showstopper for migration to Linux (see http://kegel.com/wine/migrating-user-1.html) The game plays tolerably in Linux (once you figure out to click the 'X' icon on the left bar to get fullscreenish mode), right up until the end. When you successfully complete a level, it's supposed to display an octagonal window with some choices, but on Wine, it's not displayed properly - there's only a white octagon, sometimes missing some text. You can move the octagon around and if you cover and uncover it, part of it gets drawn better, but it's still not right, I think. The tough part is, I don't have a recipe to reproduce, other than 'play a level and win'. Not sure what happened, my attachment went without my comments. I've upgraded from wine "0.9.59-0ubuntu4" to version "1.0.0-1ubuntu4~hardy1", as listed in Synaptic Package Manager. There is a slight difference in error output but installation still fails. I'd recommend you to get the tests in first(with todo_wine markers for failing tests). The tests look pretty good to me, just that you should use the return value you got from D3D for error handling, not the expected value. E.g. hr = Volume_Lock(vol); ok(hr == expected, ...); if(expected) { <--- Change this to hr unlock(); } Once you have the volume tests in, you can port them over to textures and cubetextures, and probably plain surfaces, and then port the texture and cubetexture tests to ddraw to see how things work there.
