But I encountered, that the main window covers all the smaller windows! I thought they just flash visible just to vanish like the main window content. But they are hidden behind the main window! Strange thing is that basically all those other windows shows the content - even the "Visual Thinking" window shows board and pieces. But the main (biggest) window alsmost never shows any board or pieces. I just get it to show a board in the Tutorial mode- but just for 1 question. When I resize the main window, the content shows strange colors and artefacts. Try the following tweaks the first time you launch it: -Default 3D board remains invisible (can't see the squares or the pieces). Pick another board that renders correctly: -Preferences --> Chess Sets --> uncheck "Match Boards and Pieces" -pick a 3D board (Brass and Chrome worked for me) -pick "Black and White Figurine" under the Flat category (worked for me) -need to repeat steps above in gameroom, libraryroom etc -once configured, game runs slowly, a move may take 5 to 12 seconds to render, haven't tried it on a different PC yet. -Graphics issues with rendering and redraw, interface hangs at times. To resolve, switch to database or library room then back to gameroom. The above logs (ids 32639 and 32640) are run with the classic mesa drivers. Results with the gallium drivers set to run are graphically the same. Attached will be the log from the gallium run, in case anyone is interested.
