I hadn't installed my NVIDIA driver on the desktop. This is because I had very recently reverted back to Ubuntu 10.04 from 10.10. So let's change this to winetricks d3dx9_36 vcrun2008 needed for install and play of The Undergarden Demo. Maybe I need a separate bug for vcrun2008? Tested by using winetricks d3dx9_36 vcrun2008 and then installing the game.
