I've seen reports from people running Windows + mobile nVIDIA GPU posted on Steam forums about the game crashing at start complaining on failed calls to SetPixelFormat and/or GL_ARB_draw_elements_base_vertex. Unfortunately I hadn't seen any posts from people affected by this problem stating that they had been able to solve it. Knowing the above and looking at the comments on this bug report makes me believe that most likely this problem is driver-related and not a Wine bug. Still, it isn't confirmed for sure and we've got at least one person who reported this problem to happen with desktop-series nVIDIA GPU (Thomas Luquet with his GTX460).
