It's working for me with built-in dsound and I never tried that MaxShadowSize thing (since the native DLL worked before) This is on both my old PC that I originally encountered the issue, and new one. (The IDE may freeze for 30 seconds after loading the wine projects the first time, but is then responsive sooner on later runs.) Doing Build / Build Solution compiles a few files, and generates real-looking warnings, but then the IDE crashes. You can get the IDE to crash sooner by running with WINEDEBUG=warn+heap; then it doesn't even compile one file before it crashes. Clicking Cancel does let you back out cleanly. Installing ie7 didn't fix the problem, but oddly, when you click on OK, now a blank window comes up.
