http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16567 Summary: moving mouse outside the wine virtual desktop causes crash in FastBltNoTrans() Product: Wine Version: 1.0.1 Platform: PC OS/Version: Windows XP Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: stephanecharette(a)gmail.com Installed the game "Nancy Drew: Stay Tuned For Danger". Installation and game start seems to work well. But the mouse icon is customized for the game, and changes depending on whether there is an object under the mouse with which you can interact. If at any point during the game the mouse is moved outside the wine virtual dekstop, the game immediately crashes with the following Windows dialog window: ----------------------- FastBltNoTrans() - err ret = 88760096, pDescription = Dirty Rect Fast Blt, rSrcRect: t=158, b=198, l=-5, r=25, dwDestX=-5, dwDestY=158 - DDERR_INVALIDRECT - Rectangle provided was invalid. ----------------------- I added it to AppDB here: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=14880 I also have an earlier forum posting here with several other details: http://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?t=3190 -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

June 12, 2026

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=27579 Summary: The appearance of uTorrent 3.0 torrents list is broken Product: Wine Version: 1.3.22 Platform: x86 URL: http://download.utorrent.com/3.0/utorrent.exe OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: t.artem(a)mailcity.com Not only this part of µTorrent window is black, when you add a torrent to download, its name and other attributes are hidden, when you try to switch the current category from e.g. "Downloading" to "Seeding", this part of uTorrent window will not be updated. In short the appearance of uTorrent 3.0 under Wine is broken beyond being usable. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 25648] New: ie8 does not navigate to web pages or obey home page setting
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org June 12, 2026

June 12, 2026

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25648 Summary: ie8 does not navigate to web pages or obey home page setting Product: Wine Version: 1.3.2 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: dank(a)kegel.com (From http://code.google.com/p/winezeug/issues/detail?id=159 ) "winetricks ie8" succeeds, but the resulting browser doesn't seem to work. There are workarounds if you just care about the contents of the browser (e.g. you can use ie6's main window, and ie8's guts), but I don't know of a workaround for getting ie8's main window to work. This has probably never worked, but I'm marking 1.3.2 since that's when I first tried it. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 25431] New: Wine shouldn't change the gamma value
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org June 9, 2026

June 9, 2026

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25431 Summary: Wine shouldn't change the gamma value Product: Wine Version: 1.3.8 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: incarus6(a)googlemail.com Some games (like Shaya http://shaiya.aeriagames.com/ ) can change the gamma value (I don't know how exactly, but it have the same effect as using the xgamma command in Linux). When you play in windowed mode (or with dual-screen) it is really annoying (and causing eyestrain) when the gamma value is too high. There should be an option to disable the possibility for games and software to change the gamma value. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 23326] New: Cannot change printer settings, Family Tree 7
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org June 8, 2026

June 8, 2026

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23326 Summary: Cannot change printer settings, Family Tree 7 Product: Wine Version: 1.2-rc4 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: jamesl(a)bestweb.net Created an attachment (id=29072) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=29072) FTW7 print dialogue, compare Wine to XP Cannot select printer/change print settings with Family Tree Maker 7. Dialogue box comes up, drop-down boxes are working, but radio buttons for switching between "default printer" and an alternate printer are not selectable. Have compared the print dialogue between Wine vs a native install under Windows XP (SP3) and notice some text from the Windows install does not show up under Wine. Also tried the same thing with the "free" version of FTM2005se available at http://past.familytreemaker.com/download/starter.aspx and found it's behavior is the same. So I will describe steps from there, since it would be eaier for someone to get that to test against. STEPS TO RECREATE: 1: Set up wine profile with "WINEPREFIX=/home/jelabarre/wine-apps/ftw2005 winecfg"; set winver to "Windows XP", point the Documents directory under Desktop Integration to my own Documents directory 2: install FTW2005 by running "WINEPREFIX=/home/jelabaWINEPREFIX=/home/jelabarre/wine-apps/ftw2005 wine ./FamilyTreeMaker2005se.exe", accept all defaults. 3: open FTW 2005 from "Wine" menu entry on Gnome menu. Selected "Buy Later" from popup window (does not affect outcome, as same print problem occurrs in a regular retail version of FTM7) 4: create new file, or use existing file (same result either way) 5: select "File | Print Setup", then try to select radio button for either "Default Printer" or "Specific Printer". Neither can be selected 6: try selecting a "specific printer" from drop-down box. Printer can be selected, but radio buttons still not functional. 7: after selecting a printer other than the default (such as print-to-PDF) and then try printing. Output will still go to the Linux default printer, no edits of the print settings will take effect. The "Family Archive Viewer v6.0" at http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/abtffiv.html and "Family Archive Viewer v11.0" at http://www.genealogy.com/abtffiv.html are other variants that exhibits this behavior. Have attached sample screenshots of Wine vs WinXP versions of the print dialogue. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 9404] New: cannot select TWAIN source in irfanview
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org May 29, 2026

May 29, 2026

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9404 Summary: cannot select TWAIN source in irfanview Product: Wine Version: 0.9.43. Platform: PC URL: http://www.irfanview.com/ OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Keywords: download Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: wine-misc AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: thestig(a)google.com In Irfanview, users should be able to select the TWAIN source via file -> select TWAIN source. Clicking that menu item should bring up a dialog box to let users pick which scanner to use. In Wine, no dialog box ever comes up, so the program uses the first TWAIN source it finds, which is the gphoto2 driver. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

I mean that in case of a combobox you can't select custom values and in case of a text field it isn't always editable. An example of a control which shows the problem is at http://www.codeproject.com/KB/list/xlistctrl.aspx Regards, Roderick Colenbrander -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 29579] New: winhelp: winhlp32.exe doesn't support making its window non-resizeable or without menu strip
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org May 16, 2026

May 16, 2026

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=29579 Bug #: 29579 Summary: winhelp: winhlp32.exe doesn't support making its window non-resizeable or without menu strip Product: Wine Version: 1.3.36 Platform: x86-64 URL: http://download.microsoft.com/download/aoe/Trial/1.0/W IN98/EN-US/MSAoE.exe OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: markk(a)clara.co.uk Classification: Unclassified In Windows, help files can cause the winhlp32 window to open with fixed (non-resizeable) dimensions, and/or with no menu strip. Wine winhlp32 does not support that feature. For example, download the Age of Empires trial version from http://www.microsoft.com/games/empires/downloads.htm direct download URL is http://download.microsoft.com/download/aoe/Trial/1.0/WIN98/EN-US/MSAoE.exe Either run MSAoE.exe to install the demo, or use cabextract to unpack the files inside. Run winhlp32.exe from Windows under Wine and load Empires.hlp. Notice the window has no menu strip and cannot be resized. (I tested winhlp32.exe from Windows 98 and XP.) Run Wine winhlp32.exe and load Empires.hlp. (The window contents are completely messed up and unusable, but that's not what this bug covers.) Notice the winhlp32 window is resizeable and has a menu strip. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
