[Bug 33150] New: PS3 gamepad problems in Assassin's Creed: Revelations
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org April 12, 2013

April 12, 2013

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33150 Bug #: 33150 Summary: PS3 gamepad problems in Assassin's Creed: Revelations Product: Wine Version: 1.5.25 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: directx-dinput AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: berillions(a)gmail.com Classification: Unclassified Actually, i try to play at ACR with my PS3 gamepad. The pad is automatically recognized by wine so i don't need to add the joystick in regedit (even if i add it, the problem persist). I tried my gamepad with an other game : Assassin's Creed II ----- Assassin's Creed 2 ----- With AC2, I have absolutely no problems with the gamepad, the two sticks and all buttons works correctly. In game, my gamepad is recognized by : Sony PLAYSTATION(R)3 Controller (js) in the control options. ------------------------------ ----- Assassin's Creed Revelations ----- For this game, when i want to choose my gamepad in game, i have two choices : - Sony PLAYSTATION(R)3 Controller (js) - Sony PLAYSTATION(R)3 Controller (event) 1- If i choose Sony PLAYSTATION(R)3 Controller (js) : I can to modify the gamepad control without problem but in game, 2 buttons does not works correctly and all others buttons/sticks work. The buttons are L1 and Squarre. These buttons have the same action in AC2 and ACR -> L1 = lock a target and Squarre = attack a target It's possible to attack/lock but it's very random, i must to press several times instead of one time. (Example, i press 10 times to lock a target) 2- If i choose Sony PLAYSTATION(R)3 Controller (event) : With this gamepad, Squarre/L1 buttons work when i press one time to attack or lock a target. But now, it's my left analogic stick which does not work. This stick is used to move the character. If i use (event), no direction work (High, Bottom, Left, Right) and the character move alone towards the right. All others buttons and Right analogic stick work. ------------------------------ I hope that i explained correctly my problem. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 33311] New: Loading of libraries intended to be delay loaded for a built-in module actually is not delayed
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org April 12, 2013

April 12, 2013

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33311 Bug #: 33311 Summary: Loading of libraries intended to be delay loaded for a built-in module actually is not delayed Product: Wine Version: 1.5.27 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: build-env AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: dmitry(a)baikal.ru Classification: Unclassified If a DLL is listed in DELAYIMPORTS statement in Makefile.in of built-in Wine module (under /dlls or /programs) this actually doesn't mean that its loading is going to be really delayed, that DLL will be loaded together with other module imports. A part of the problem is that modules listed in DELAYIMPORTS are passed in the same list with other modules lised in IMPORTS to winegcc. This means that winegcc passes them along as not delay loaded modules to other helper tools. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 33251] New: RPG Tkool VX Ace: some texts aren't fit in the message box.
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org April 12, 2013

April 12, 2013

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33251 Bug #: 33251 Summary: RPG Tkool VX Ace: some texts aren't fit in the message box. Product: Wine Version: 1.5.26 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: gdi32 AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: sagawa.aki+winebugs(a)gmail.com Classification: Unclassified Created attachment 43971 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=43971 opening message from phoenix story on wine 1.5.26 RPG Tkool VX[1] (Japanese version of RPG Maker VX) based games, e.g. Phoenix Story[2] and DESTINY ~FIRST FANTASY~[3], sometimes don't show right edge characters. This issue occurs when the line consists 25-30 Japanese characters and depends on the message box size. This issue doesn't occur in Windows. So, I guess that it comes from differences about text metrics. Looking into the wine debug log, these games use VL Gothic font[4] with 24px cell height, i.e. CreateFont("VL Gothic", 24, ....), to show texts. by wine-bugs＠winehq.org April 12, 2013

April 12, 2013

Wine ver: c959867510703a100106f292cd26cb8f489236bb (post 1.0-rc4) Here are the steps how to reproduce it: $ export WINEPREFIX=`pwd`/bug.pywin32 $ wget -c http://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.5.2/python-2.5.2.msi $ wget -c http://downloads.sourceforge.net/pywin32/pywin32-211.win32-py2.5.exe $ wineboot -i $ msiexec /i python-2.5.2.msi /qb This initilizes wine instance and installs python into it. Let's try to install pywin32: $ wine pywin32-211.win32-py2.5.exe Oops, it eats 100% cpu and spawns new and new processes (pid of pywin32.exe changes) and never completes. On Windows XP pywin32-211.win32-py2.5.exe installs fine.
