Indeed, winecfg looks nice and UI fonts in Word 2007 (or other Office components) are antialiased. My problem concerns the font in the text zone, and in the font dropdown selection. The attached screenshot shows the difference between UI fonts and Text fonts. How can I get text font smoothed? PSPad doesn't update the connection icon when in FTP mode. This is absolutely trivial, but it annoys me quite a bit. When you start a connection in PSPad, it keeps it open, but after a while the connection is lost (normal behaviour). Under Wine however, the connection icon doesn't represent the state of the connection and is always set to "connected". I have included a screenshot of the icon in question. If I quit all running wine apps I can restart gtk-window-decorator without error. Although, it will continue to crash at random times. I have noticed that dialog or confirmation boxes usually trigger the crash. The problem started once I upgraded Ubuntu from 13.04 to 13.10 and Wine updated to the latest version. It shows progress bar going to its end, then displays the message "Loading game, please wait", produces a sound telling that game is loaded, and hangs with this message on screen. Alt+F4 doesn't close it (working in wine desktop). This only happens on intel video, namely i915 and N10 graphics controllers.
