In the screenshot, the left part is with the patch, and the right part is using plain wine, and the bad quality textures can be seen immediately. It is the same as bug 12101 that was considered fixed in 1.1.24, but I don't manage to build wine-1.1.24 to check if it would work for me and thus start running a regression test. I couldn't find an existing open bug with this, but I may have missed it in bugzilla. In Spellforce platinium edition(DVD) with wine-1.7.28 I can confirm these black columns if I select shadow type normal (see attachment). They go away if I select high or very high shadow type.
