There is a nearly 3 year old bug (https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=37594) to implement this API. I've attached the output and there are indeed lots of d3d error messages. I think it's worthwhile to note that other games from Digital Extremes also suffer from texture (or maybe lighting) issues. The other games affected are Warframe and The Darkness II.
