The error is because KERNEL32.dll.MoveFileTransactedW function is not implemented. I think this happens because without activating it, Ableton runs in Demo mode, and after closing it, it will delete the current project. Ableton can be found here: https://www.ableton.com/en/products/live-lite/ To get it running, it needs VS C++ Redistributable, I installed with winetricks. Programs throw and catch their own exceptions all of the time. You can ignore certain types of exceptions with e.g. 'handle SIGSEGV noprint', although this may also prevent breaking on useful exceptions. That it fails subsequently may be a bug, although it may be a matter of timing or something similar. In wine, only "fixme" messages appear, and the program runs perfectly. I have a program that runs flawlessly in Wine, including the generation of an output file whose correctness can be independently verified. However, when I run the same program in Wine-dbg, it generates dozens of floating point exceptions: stack error, inexact result, and sometimes overflow and divide by zero. If I "continue" through all these exceptions, the program opens a window saying that the program "has encountered a serious problem and needs to close", or "There was an unknown error", and no output file is generated. Also notice that the "Thread ID=0034 renamed using MS VC6 extension" messages only appear with winedbg, not wine. The program being run is Adobe DNG Converter 10.3, and I deleted my .wine directory before installing it. If I try to launch GR-55FloorBoard.exe, from https://vorboss.dl.sourceforge.net/project/grfloorboard/GR-55/GR-55FloorBoa…, it doesn't open. Downgrading to wine-staging 3.7-1 solved the issue. I tested with different kernels and installed unneeded things, such as Mono and Gecko things via wine and installed optional dependencies from official Arch repositories, that were not installed when wine-staging worked in the past, but the only way to solve the issue was downgrading wine-staging. The command line outputs from running 3.9 and 3.8 are attached.
